The smartphone is powered by Helio X20 64-bit deca-core CPU and has a 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The 5.5 inch 1080P full HD IPS Symmetrical display phone comes with a 21.0 megapixel rear camera and a 8.0 megapixel front camera with dual LED flash and front flash. The phone is powered with a 3600mAh battery and operates on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
“The smartphone market in India is going through a cut-throat competition. India is a strategic market for us and we are in India, for India,” said Kevin Xu, founder, Zopo Mobile.
Jorge Lorenzo, three-time MotoGP World Champion, endorses the brand Speed. Charles Bird, brand manager, Zopo Mobile, said, “We have tied up with Lorenzo to promote the concept of Speed.”
“We will be in India for a very long time. We have penetrated in 50% of the Indian smartphone market — both online and offline,” said Sanjeev Bhatia, founder and chairman, Adcom.
Adcom is the exclusive distributor for Zopo Mobile in India. Major mobile brands are now looking to expand in the offline retail market in India to wade through the competition. “We are heavily investing to open offline retail stores in India. By Diwali, we will have our retail stores in at least 200 cities and that will increase our market share to 70-80%,” Bhatia said.
The phone will be available online as well as offline retail stores across the country.
