Elephone have been making low-cost phones for years already, but they have only recently really made a push in to the sub $100 scene. Their first phone to cost less than $100 retail is the new Elephone Ivory, an octacore device with 5-inch display that Elephone says is the most cost effective 8 core phone on the market today.
Elephone Ivory Specs
Elephone have tried to make the Ivory as down to earth as possible, so you won’t see a fingerprint scanner, hear rate monitor, eye unlock or other gimmicks. Instead the phone comes with a 5-inch 720p display, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, and Mediatek MT6753 chipset running at 1.3Ghz. According to the official Elephone Ivory specifications page, the phone also boasts a 13 mega-pixel rear camera, dual micro SIM support and a 2800mAh battery. FM radio and LTE bands 1/3/7 and 20 are supported too.
Elephone state that the Elephone Ivory is up for pre-order now for $99.99, that’s the retail price, and as they suggest that it will make a good Christmas gift we hope that they orders will be shipped quickly.
