To enable HomeKit remote control, you need a HomePod, an Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, or an iPad. Set any of these Apple devices in your house as a HomeKit bridge and connect the diffuser for essential oils to your home WiFi network. Keep in mind that once your HomeKit bridge is set up, the room diffusers for essential oils has to be kept online. If it is powered off or disconnected from the WiFi, the aroma humidifier will fail to respond when you intend to control the device remotely.

To add essential oil to the diffuser, lift off the top section, which reveals a large, 400ml liquid reservoir. Meross recommends using the included measuring cup to add the correct amount of water along with one or two drops of essential oil, before putting the lid back in place. Once the oil diffuser is set up, it has good responsiveness and provides a reliable connection to the Home app, being quick to respond to commands and working well with automations. Like Meross’s other devices, the diffuser works over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. With no hub, Meross’s ‌HomeKit accessories can be slow or refuse to reconnect to the network when Wi-Fi is temporarily unavailable, but this is a random occurrence and cycling power seems to fix the problem.

Tips
– You’d better fill pure water with the smart diffusers for essential oils. If not, the long -term use may have an effect on the ultrasonic diffuser for essential oils, such as breeding bacteria.

Setup tips
– If you are setting up HomeKit device, please connect your smartphone or tablet to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and disable your VPN, if any. Ensure that your Wi-Fi is using WPA3/WPA2 since WPA3 only will lead to setup failure.
– Make sure your smart device is covered by strong Wi-Fi signal, which is not a hidden Wi-Fi name(SSID). A hidden Wi-Fi name(SSID) might not work when setting up.
– Meross HomeKit smart devices support iOS 13/ iPadOS 13 or later. It is recommended that you upgrade your iOS or iPadOS to the latest version before pairing with the smart device.(iOS only. Android users needs Android 6.0 or later)
– Upgrade the Meross app to the latest version and make sure you granted access permissions, such as location and local network, asked by the Meross app.
– Launch the Meross app and log in to your account, or if you are a new user, tap Sign up to create a new account.
