BGVP Launches Wukong High-End Flagship IEMs
BGVP is all prepared to revolutionize the summit-fi IEM market with its newest titan, introducing its most ambitious project to date, presenting the BGVP WuKong. It’s an ultra-high-end flagship pair of in-ear monitors that blends modern acoustic engineering with iconic, ultra-premium aesthetics inspired by the legendary monkey king, Sun Wukong. BGVP WuKong is both a technical powerhouse powered by a uniquely designed 15-driver quadbrid architecture, and an exquisite jewellery with iconic Wukong design ear shells crafted using high-purity 24K gold-plated pure silver material ear shells. Inspired by Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King from the classic epic Journey to the West, this limited-edition release is as much a piece of fine jewellery as it is a high-performance IEM.
BGVP has equipped the Wukong with a massive 15-driver configuration on each side. The pair houses a unique combination of four different types of drivers, housing 7 premium quality SONION balanced armature drivers, 4 high-end SONION EST drivers, 2 powerful SONION BCD drivers, and 2 custom-developed micro-planar drivers. These drivers are arranged together in an ultra-precise nine-way frequency crossover. The BA drivers here handle the core frequencies with ultra-high-resolution, the EST drivers deliver unparalleled extensions and air in the ultra-high frequency band, the BCD drivers add a physical and tactile dimension to the lower-end region, and the micro planar’s work effortlessly for lightning-fast transients and exquisite high-frequency detail. This ultra-precise nine-way frequency crossover ensures seamless transition between the different drivers and a highly cohesive, holographic sound profile.
BGVP WuKong packs a luxurious design. The ear shells are crafted from 24K gold-plated pure silver material. Beyond its stunning appearance, the use of high-density silver serves an acoustic purpose, effectively suppressing unwanted resonance to ensure the highest level of sound purity. Each shell is a canvas for hand-engraved iconic art design inspired by the legendary WuKong. One side features the Monkey King in full combat design, featuring his red cloak and pheasant feathers. The other side features the Golden Hoop mantra and sacred scriptures. Every detail is precisely inlaid by a master craftsman, giving the pair an iconic design.
BGVP has extended this legendary theme to the accessories and packaging design. The IEMs come with a high-quality Zinc Alloy material storage case, which features intricate engravings of Buddha, the Monkey King, amidst a white mist. The stock cable is the Master Golden Thread of Enlightenment, a high-purity cable specifically designed for Wukong. The cable features a unique Nine-Eyed Dzi Bead design, a sacred symbol in Tibetan culture. The Y-Splitter and Connectors feature this masterful design. As for conductors, the cable is crafted using high-purity gold-plated 7N single-crystal copper, single-crystal silver, and silver-palladium material hybrid conductor design. This cable has standard 0.78mm 2-pin connectors and features a 4.4mm balanced termination plug.
