Cayin E02 Audio Motherboard Released


Cayin released its latest audio motherboard for its Cayin N6ii DAP, the Cayin E02. The Cayin E02 is the fourth audio motherboard/audio module for the Cayin N6ii after, A01, T01, and E01.

The E02 is similar to the E01 audio module, the E02 is based on high-quality flagship DAC from Sabre Technologies, the ES9038Q2M. The E01 featured one single ES9038Pro chip while the E02 features dual ES9038Q2M DAC chips in a balanced manner. The other two modules A01 and T01 features three output ports where two are 3.5mm ports, one single-ended and the other for line out but in the Cayin E series of motherboards there is a single output port. The E01 features a 3.5mm single-ended port that also provides line out functionality While in E02 it has a single 4.4mm Balanced port that also acts as a line out port. Powerful Dual DAC Setup
The Cayin E02 features a powerful dual DAC setup from Sabre Technologies, featuring two ES9038Q2M DACs. Its chipset decodes your music in a completely balanced manner with four-way I/V conversion and four-way Class A and B headset power amplification circuit. The Motherboard has a powerful and clean sound output that is completely noise-free.

Powerful 4.4mm Balanced Output Port
The Cayin E02 features a 4.4mm balanced port that can output in power output mode or line out mode for amplifiers and speaker systems. While PO mode the motherboard can output a monstrous power of up to 600mW at 32 ohms of load. And in Line Out mode it features three different modes, high, medium and low. It can output up to 4.1V of power at 10K ohms load at high settings.

The Cayin E02 Audio Motherboard has a dynamic range and signal to noise ratio of 121dB. It has a low distortion value of 0.001%. Cayin E01 vs Cayin E02
– The Cayin E01 features a single ES9038PRO DAC chip with two way amplification circuit while the Cayin E02 features dual ES9038Q2M DACs with four-way amplification circuit.
– The Cayin E01 features a 3.5mm single-ended port, while the E02 has a 4.4mm balanced port.
– The Cayin E01 outputs a power of up to 150mW at 32 ohms of load while the E02 is capable of providing a power of up to 600mW at 32 ohms of load.
– Both the Audio Motherboards have a battery life of up to 9.5 hours.

Cayin E02 vs Cayin A01
– The Cayin E02 features dual ES9038Q2M DAC chips while the Cayin A01 features a single AK4497EQ DAC chip.
– The Cayin E02 has a dynamic range of 121dB as compared to the 118dB on the A01, the output through E02 is clearer and better detailed.
– The Cayin A01 features three output ports, one 3.5mm single-ended port, one 3.5mm line out port, and one 4.4mm balanced port while the Cayin E02 features a single 4.4mm balanced port that also acts as a Line Out port.

Cayin E02 vs Cayin T01
– The Cayin T01 features a dual PCM1792A DAC chips, E02 features dual ES9038Q2M chips.
– The T01 features three output ports, one 3.5mm single-ended port, one 3.5mm line out port, and one 4.4mm balanced port, while the E02 only features one 4.4mm balanced port.
– The T01 has an output power of up to 530mW at 32 ohms of load while the E02 outputs a power of up to 600mW at 32 ohms of load.
