Chuwi LapBook Plus comes out: 4K ultra clear screen + dual SSD expansion
The Chinese manufacturer – Chuwi – announces that its next model – LapBook Plus will be equipped with a 4K resolution screen. Below are some specifications of it.

– Apollo Lake quad-core four-thread processor, clocked at 2.0GHz

– 8GB LPDDR4 memory, 256GB SSD+M.2 SSD storage
– Standard numeric backlit keyboard
The outstanding feature of Chuwi LapBook Plus will be its 15.6-inch screen with 4K resolution. With the 8bit IPS panel, 16.7 million true colors as well with 100% sRGB color gamut, Chuwi LapBook Plus will bring you a more realistic and colorful viewing experience than most laptops on the market utilizing 6-bit panel with 45% NTSC color gamut. Additionally, it also supports HDR image quality, which can dynamically balance the brightness and restore more details.
In order to make full use of the ultra-clear 4K screen, Chuwi has defined the LapBook Plus model as a lightweight laptop for video and music other than pricey gaming laptops which have a higher demand for the processor, graphics and battery life. The official data shows that the thinnest part of Chuwi LapBook Plus is only 6mm while weighing 1.52kg at the same time. You may be hard to believe it is a 15.6-inch laptop as those traditional 15.6-inch models are much thicker and heavier- 2.5kg weight and 20mm thin respectively.
To offer a more reasonable price for Chuwi LapBook Plus, Apollo Lake 4-core 4-thread processor clocked at 2.0GHz has been chosen. HD Graphics 505 supporting 4K hard-decoding is also one of the important factors too.
In terms of storage, knowing that people have a great demand on 4K video storage and fast read/write speed, Chuwi LapBook Plus is equipped with 256GB SSD in addition to an M.2 SSD expansion slot which can be upgraded to terabytes of storage.
Following the ultra-narrow bezel full-view screen on Chuwi Lapbook Pro, LapBook Plus is another exploration and innovation for Chuwi. It will be officially released in July.
