Cosmo Communicator blends smartphone and laptop with P70 power
From Planet Computers – the company that made the Gemini PDA powered by the MediaTek Helio X27 – the Cosmo Communicator aims to go even further in its reinvention of the pocketable clamshell phone. It blends an Android smartphone with a Linux notebook, and mixes a large keyboard with two touchscreen displays (6-inch inside and 2-inch outside).
At its core the MediaTek Helio P70 gives it incredible performance and power efficiency, plus support for the high resolution 24MP rear camera, 5MP selfie camera and dual 4G SIM that you can use worldwide. It’s pitched as the perfect travel companion as it’s pocketable, unlike a notebook, but offers far more functionality than your typical smartphone; great for emails, messaging, creating and editing documents, making calls and taking snaps.
This Indigogo project has proved extremely popular, it featured on the Indigogo Team Favorites Collection and has smashed its goal by nearly 400%. If you’re interested there’s still a few days left to back the project, which ends in early December.
