But the official presale will become available in early March, so there’s still some time before you’re ready to purchase it. Now, let’s take a look at what features this new smartphone brings to us.
Appearance
The CUBOT X18 Plus comes in a trending design of 18:9 full-screen and rounded corners. Its sides of the 5.99-inch display are almost borderless while shrinking the top and bottom bezels and switching to an 18:9 aspect ratio. Thus, it offers wider vision but the same width with the normal phone of 5.5 inches. The front camera is placed at the thin top bezel but it moves the fingerprint reader to the back, below the vertical dual rear cameras. The frame of this phone is made of metal and covered with a glass back. So far, there are two color options released including Black and Blue versions.
Display
The 5.99-inch display of the X18 Plus sports a resolution 2160 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), that is improved than its predecessor with a 5.7-inch HD+ display. As we haven’t reviewed the real object yet, we can’t talk much on the display performance like colors and brightness. But the FHD+ display at such price range is not bad.
Specs & OS
According to the manufacturer, the CUBOT X18 Plus is powered by MediaTek MT6750T 64-bit octa-core processor, and packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Besides, it supports up to 256GB external memory extension. CUBOT upgrades almost all the specs on the X18 Plus to ensure a higher performance and lower power consumption. In terms of the operating system, the CUBOT X18 will ship with the latest Android 8.0 Oreo OS, that will be an anticipated spot for Android fans.
Camera
Compared to a single rear camera placed on the back of X18, the CUBOT X18 Plus has a 20MP/0.3MP dual rear camera setup on the back. With the dual LED flash, you can take high-quality photos even in dark light situation. The front camera is 13MP with a beauty function, that is ideal for taking great selfies and video chat.
Battery
Cubot X18 Plus is powered by a non-removable 4000mAh battery, which lasts for more than a day. However, the manufacturer’s data doesn’t show any detail of the quick charge function. It might indicate that the phone doesn’t support quick charging.
