DUNU has officially revealed its latest project, introducing the DUNU DN242. It’s the latest high-fidelity in-ear monitor inspired by the fearless Chinese mythological figure Nezha. The inspiration is clearly visible in the design with a fiery red face cover with a golden ring surrounding the pair and complementing its looks.
DUNU has featured an eight-driver hybrid setup on the pair housing dual dynamic drivers(10mm+8mm), four high-performance BA drivers(2 Custom+2 Knowles), and dual micro-planar drivers. This innovative setup has helped them achieve a true-to-life natural sound, which is captivating and engaging with fast transients, punchy lower-end, and a sweet, accurate tonality.
In order to get the best out of each driver here, DUNU has featured an advanced five-way electronic+physical dual-type crossover system on the DN242. So, what are you waiting for? Grab the DUNU DN242 today and experience the next-generation of sonic excellence from the house of DUNU!
DUNU has years of experience in designing premium-quality multi-driver hybrid IEMs. The latest DN242 utilizes that experience in bringing you an innovative eight-driver tribrid setup on each side. It integrates 2DD+4BA+2 Planar drivers on each side. This complex setup is managed by an advanced five-way physical and electronic crossover system, which allows each driver to deliver precise and harmonious performance across the frequency band.
The 10mm dynamic driver here is adjusted for a solid sub-bass rumble, promising thunderous low-end extensions. We also have another 8mm dynamic driver that handles the mid-bass region with speed and impact. The midrange section is handled by two customized Knowles balanced armature drivers, which produce crisp details for instruments and vocals in the midrange section.
For an accurate treble band, DUNU has implemented dual customized balanced armature drivers, and lastly, two customized micro-planar drivers reproduce ultra-high frequencies with a great level of precision. Together, this eight-driver setup, combined with this five-way crossover system, ensures a crystal clear wide frequency response range. DUNU has adjusted the tuning of the DN242 for a crisp and detailed response with a natural, lifelike tonality.
For supreme comfort, DUNU has joined hands with HeyGears, the leading 3D printing solution provider in the industry. They have ergonomically shaped the DN242 ear shells using DLP 3D-printing technology for maximum comfort and acoustic precision. The pair boasts a striking design highlighted by red face plates and golden accents. With this striking design, it captures the fiery and fearless essence of Nezha.
We also get three collectable cards with the DN242 that have exciting Nezha-inspired graphics. The DN242 comes equipped with DUNU’s premium silver-plated single-crystal copper Litz cable, complete with the patented Q-Lock Mini interchangeable termination plug system. Users can easily switch between the included 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs for flexible connectivity across various devices.
With an impedance of 35Ω, sensitivity of 110dB/mW, and a wide frequency response from 5Hz to 40kHz, the DUNU DN242 delivers an immersive sound that fuses impactful bass, refined vocals, and sparkling treble extension. It’s a true statement piece for audiophiles seeking both performance and artistry in their listening experience
