DUNU Introduces Concept R High-End R2R CD Player
DUNU is a well-recognized name in the HiFi audio market. With regular launches, the brand has always been in the limelight and all for good reasons because their products are not only great-sounding but also well-crafted. Today, we are super excited to announce the launch of their brand new CD Player, the DUNU Concept R. It’s named Concept because the device carries the concept of vintage design and matches it perfectly with modern HiFi technology. It packs the analog goodness of R2R with a fully-discrete R2R DAC arrangement and a switchable class A/AB amplification section with a rated output of 1.3W. Explore your long-lost music in your CD collection with the lifelike, analog sound profile of DUNU Concept R.
The Concept R is designed to reignite the golden era of music, the Walkman era, but with a modern twist. The device looks like a big Walkman with mechanical push buttons, a signature sliding volume lever, and a 2.08” monochromatic OLED display screen. This setup creates a retro-futuristic aesthetic that looks and feels spectacular. DUNU has designed the Concept R with a high-precision CNC-machining process using aerospace-grade aluminium alloy material. DUNU Concept R is not just about portable CD Playback; it’s a vintage charm that every audiophile will connect with.
While the look and feel of Concept R is vintage, the internals are purely high-end modern HiFi, promising a clean and crisp sound quality. The Concept R is equipped with a fully-discrete R2R decoding section with a 192-precision matched resistor array. This R2R DAC provides a smooth, analog sound with a lifelike, natural tonality and a big, open soundstage. Combined with this R2R DAC setup, we have a switchable Class A/AB amplification module with a rated output of up to 1.3W @ 32Ω impedance load. It houses a 6.35mm and a 4.4mm balanced headphone output port for convenient connectivity with different IEMs and Headphones. Additionally, the DUNU Concept R can also be used as a Desktop USB DAC for added functionality.
DUNU Concept R is a dedicated CD Powerhouse. It utilizes a top-loading design with a high-performance laser head and a self-developed Servo Architecture. The system ensures fast disc reading and stable, jitter-free playback, allowing users to rediscover their physical media collection in the best quality. Despite its high-end audio architecture, the DUNU Concept R is built for the move. The CD Player houses a massive 12,000mAh battery, which promises an outstanding battery life of up to 10 hours. The best part is, it also supports 18W PD fast charging.
DUNU Concept R is a classic experience of the Walkman. Its vintage design aesthetics and modern audio section ensure every user gets an immersive music listening experience with a lifelike tone and natural sound image.
