Energizer Power Max P18K Pop powered by MediaTek Helio P70
Fully-integrated and sealed, modern smartphone designs mean battery swapping is no longer – so without taking a power-pack to juice your device, how do you keep one going for days at a time?
You maybe familiar with the Energizer brand from batteries, well it’s no surprise its new Power Max P18K Pop is a powerful, battery-focused smartphone that houses a gigantic 18,000mAh battery. That’s 6X the size of your typical 3,000mAh smartphone! As you’d expect, it’s a chunky-monkey, but arguably that makes it easier to find in your bag, you’ll never sit down and bend it and it gives you a better grip because it sits easier in your palm rather than on your fingertips.
The smartphone-side of things looks modern and sleek, with a full front-cover display and pop-up dual camera that cleverly makes it look like its AA battery brothers. Inside the MediaTek Helio P70 keeps it pumped, providing a powerful octa-core CPU, tri-core GPU and dual-core APU processor that accelerates AI tasks. This is paired with a large 6GB of fast LPDDR4X memory and 128GB of UFS storage. Dual 4G SIM gives great user choice through carrier flexibility and its large, 6.2-inch display with sharp FullHD+ panel provides ample, vibrant visuals.
Those dual front-facing cameras are a combination of large 16MP plus 2MP for depth sensing, providing big, clear pictures of you, friends and family with the option of hardware-accelerated beautiful bokeh portraits. Meanwhile, at the back a 2+1 camera array provides 12MP PDAF, plus 5MP and another 2MP for depth sensing again.
Naturally you don’t want to wait forever for such a gigantic battery to charge, so Energizer has included 18W fast-charging (PD2.0) over USB-C. The Power Max P18K Pop is expected to launch with the latest Android 9 (Pie) around mid-year.
