FiiO Introduces DM15 Portable CD Player

FiiO DM15 houses an advanced five-core architecture coordinated by an independent MCU. The CD player houses a dedicated CD servo, a premium Dual DAC decoding module, and a Bluetooth module with an advanced Qualcomm chipset. Audio processing is handled by dual AKM AK4493S DAC chips that bring the lovely VELVET SOUND technology to the DM15. These are paired with OPA1642 low-pass filters and dual SGM8262 amplifiers, this setup promises a smooth, natural sound timbre with extremely low distortion. The DM15 supports 32bit/384kHz and DSD256 audio signals natively.

FiiO DM15 features a custom-designed CD mechanism equipped with a self-rebounding steel ball disc-alignment design for smooth loading and scratch protection during playback. Built with an all-aluminium alloy chassis and a scratch-resistant tempered glass top window, the DM15 allows users to enjoy spinning CDs while offering modern functionalities visually. One of the key features of the DM15 is its 24 customizable sound effect options. It combines 3 BASS levels and 8 EQ profiles for this customization.

Versatility is a major highlight of the DM15. It can be utilized as a portable player, a HiFi USB DAC, a high-res Bluetooth transmitter powered by a Qualcomm QCC3086 chip with aptX Lossless support, and as a digital transport. It also introduces a practical USB CD-ripping feature, allowing users to save tracks directly to a FAT32 USB flash drive in uncompressed WAV format. For digital output, we have Coaxial and Optical output ports.

Despite its compact 144x137x25.5mm footprint and a lightweight 471.5g build, the DM15 packs serious desktop-grade power. When flipped into FiiO’s patented Desktop Mode, the DM15 completely isolates its 4700mAh battery to protect long-term battery health while driving a massive 1100mW+1100mW output at 32Ω through its 4.4mm balanced headphone port. It also features a single-ended 3.5mm headphone output port as well. Both the 4.4mm and 3.5mm output ports also have line-out functionality. With the FiiO DM15 you are bringing top=-quality sound with modern features combined with the charm of physical CD playback.
