FiiO Launches DP11: Brand New CD Transport
FiiO is breathing new life into physical media with the announcement of the all-new FiiO DP11, a high-end desktop CD transport engineered to be the ultimate centrepiece of your audio chain. Blending the nostalgic charm of compact discs with modern HiFi architecture, the DP11 is far more than just a traditional CD player, it is a versatile digital hub designed for purists and modern high-res enthusiasts alike. Equipped with a CS43198 DAC, built-in CD Ripping features, and MQA source-out functionality, these features make the DP11 stand out in such a crowded industry.
The most attractive component on the DP11 is its ultra-silent CD mechanism. FiiO has equipped the DP11 with a custom-developed, desktop-grade CD mechanism. FiiO has paired this robust hardware with an exclusively optimized servo program to drastically enhance disc-reading accuracy. To ensure your listening experience remains completely uninterrupted by mechanical noise, the unit features a specially designed silent mechanism bracket. This guarantees silky-smooth disc loading and an ultra-quiet operation, letting you focus entirely on the pitch-black background of your music.
While it serves perfectly as a dedicated transport with versatile digital outputs (AES, Coaxial, and Optical), the DP11 is also fully equipped to drive your analog chain. Packed with a premium CS43198 DAC chipset, it delivers a staggering acoustic performance natively. Thanks to its RCA analog outputs with built-in pre-amplifier functionality, the DP11 can be connected directly to active speakers or a power amplifier, offering incredible flexibility for any desktop setup.
FiiO understands the need for digital backups. The DP11 introduces a highly convenient direct CD ripping facility, allowing users to extract their favorite tracks directly to a connected USB flash drive in high-definition lossless WAV format. Furthermore, for modern streaming and high-res files, the DP11 flawlessly supports MQA source code output, ensuring you hear every detail exactly as the artist intended in the master tape.
Borrowing heavily from FiiO’s top-tier desktop lineup, specifically the S15 Streamer, the DP11 utilizes the exact same sophisticated circuit design found in the flagship streamer. To absolutely guarantee flawless sound reproduction and zero electrical crosstalk, FiiO has implemented completely independent power supplies for the CD servo, digital processing stages, and analog audio circuits. The FiiO DP11 is shaping up to be an ideal transport that will help audiophiles bring true lossless CD playback into the modern era. We are super excited for the DP11, as it is an ideal transport for audiophiles who seek pure transport functionality or even if you want a dedicated CD player with a HiFi DAC and Ultra-Silent playback support.
