FiiO Launches JT9 Headphones
As mentioned previously, FiiO JT9 packs a self-developed 95x86mm large-sized planar magnetic driver unit. To ensure lightning-fast transient response and the retrieval of delicate micro-details, FiiO has utilized a vanishingly thin 1μm PET diaphragm. What sets this diaphragm apart is its patented Sapphire and Aluminum dual-plating technology, achieved through an advanced 28nm chip-level vacuum sputtering process. The aluminium layer keeps the driver incredibly light while boosting electrical conductivity, while the sapphire layer drastically enhances rigidity. When paired with FiiO’s patented uniform magnetic field architecture, this design virtually eliminates split vibrations, resulting in ultra-low distortion, clear high frequencies, and a uniquely captivating timbre.
Historically, planar magnetic headphones have required powerful, dedicated desktop amplifiers to sound their best. The FiiO JT9 breaks this mold with a highly efficient design featuring 95dB sensitivity and a 20Ω impedance. This allows the headphones to sound effortless and dynamic whether plugged into a robust desktop rig or a versatile portable DAC/AMP. Recognizing that comfort is just as important as sound quality for long listening sessions, FiiO has kept the weight of the JT9 down to an impressive 365 grams, significantly lighter than many traditional full-sized planar headphones. The chassis features a multi-axis adjustable headband that folds up to 90 degrees, making it highly compact for travel. It is paired with 3D asymmetrical ergonomic earpads contoured to match the human face, ensuring an ideal acoustic seal, even clamping force, and zero fatigue.
FiiO bundles two stock cables with the JT9, every audiophile can use the JT9 straight out of the box. The set includes two custom-made 22AWG oxygen-free copper cables, one with a standard 3.5mm single-ended termination(with a 6.35mm adapter), and another with a 4.4mm balanced termination. Both cables are constructed from a precisely crafted blend of 0.06mm, 0.08mm, and 0.12mm high-purity OFC wire conductors. These cables are designed to add lush thickness to the midrange and elevate low-end performance. FiiO JT9 is a perfect headphone for everyday use. Whether you are a new guy venturing into the world of HiFi headphones or an experienced audiophile who seeks another neat-sounding planar magnetic driver Headphone for everyday use, the FiiO JT9 is a perfect choice!
