FLUOREON Security System, Safe Home with 4 Cameras
Until recently, home or office security systems were rather expensive, diffcult to install and quite unreliable. They also required assembly and often even monitoring 24 hours a day, with a vigilant security guard maintaining the cameras.
However thanks to GearBest, such a recorder does not have to be expensive – and you can now buy it for less than $120. Enter the Fluoreon camera security kit: an 8-channel 1080p recorder for every home.
Pros and cons
+ Easy installation and assembly
+ Decent video quality
+ IR diodes for nightvision up to 30m
+ Everything is included in the box, including cables and cameras
+ Many types of signal input
+ Video can be saved offline or in the cloud
+ Best bang for the buck
– Only 2.0MP camera sensor
Recording capabilities
Included with the device you will find 4 cameras, recording in 1080p quality, with a 2MP sensor. That might not seem too impressive, but it certainly is enough for regular monitoring and the image quality is quite good. Limiting resolution also has the advantage that videos take up less disk space. What’s more, cameras also record effectively at night, because they are equipped with IR diodes with a range of 20-30 meters. The total field of view of single camera is 88 degrees.
The controller has 8 inputs, which means it supports up to eight cameras at the same time. Additional cameras can also be purchased at GearBest and other brands with standard video signal output should work with the device. The video can be recorded to a MicroSD card, external SATA drive, USB drive, and of course in the cloud. Thanks to essentially lossless .H264 compression, video files are not overly large and you can easily archive them later, eg on DVDs.
Control and installation
The camera driver allows you to manage the image by sending it to external devices, such as a regular TV set, a computer monitor and even a smartphone screen. Connected to the application system for Android or iOS phones, it even allows notification via push notifications when motion is detected. Notifications can also be sent to the email, along with a screenshot.
The assembly is uncomplicated and requires no technical knowledge. Each camera has a mounting bracket that is drilled to the wall with three screws and then connected to base station with video cables. The box also includes a CD with drivers, containing the necessary software and an English manual.
Other features
Cameras can be installed outdoors and are resistant to rain, although it is best to roof them, so as to reduce the exposure to moisture. You will be able not only to preview inside, but also point the cameras to the garden, building entrance or mount the camera on a lamp post. Both the station and the cameras are energy-efficient, powered by a 12-volt power supply, which means savings on energy costs, even if the equipment will operate in a full set of 8 cameras around the clock.
In conclusion
Fluoreon camera kit is ideal for small homes as well as larger apartments, providing good quality videos, automatic notification and cloud recording, and a simple installation for everyone. Are you not convinced that security set for less than $120 will provide adequate video quality? Just check the video above and see the recordings for yourself. You won’t have to use security company services anymore and you can build home monitoring system all by yourself!
