Hidizs S9 Pro Plus Martha, Latest ES9038Q2M Portable DAC/AMP
Hidizs has introduced its latest flagship portable DAC/AMP, the Hidizs S9 Pro Plus Martha. This beautifully crafted portable DAC comes as a success to the S9 and S9 Pro featuring a high-performance ES9038Q2M DAC chipset, a luxurious build, and most notably, a 4.4mm headphone output port. Yes, Hidizs has finally welcomed 4.4mm output to its series of premium portable DAC/AMPs. This was a much-awaited and highly-anticipated feature for the S9 series as they already sound so good but always featured a 2.5mm port for balanced connections. Hidizs S9 Pro Plus Martha with its high-performance ESS DAC implementation provides excellent sound characteristics with high SNR and ultra-low THD+N performance.
Hidizs S9 Pro Plus features the same DAC that got all the love and affection for the S9 Pro, the ES9038Q2M. This 32-bit DAC is widely appreciated for its outstanding sonic capabilities. It achieves a high SNR of over 128dB and ultra-low distortion of -120dB promising an ultra-clear output with no audible noise-floor even with sensitive audio accessories. The S9 Pro Plus Martha provides smooth sound decoding supporting 32-bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD512 audio signals. Hidizs S9 Pro Plus Martha has seven digital filters built into for easy adjustments to the output signal.
Hidizs is known for the excellent craftsmanship of its gear. They are built very nicely. The latest S9 Pro Plus Martha is no different, we get a stunning-looking compact device with CNC machined unibody build crafted with aluminium alloy material. The device has a glass surface on the front and back side and a rich matte finish on the sides. We also have physical volume control on the side. The front has a Hidizs Logo with an RGB indicator light that glows in different colours based on the active sample rate of the playback.
The next feat is the most welcoming feature of the S9 Pro Plus Martha. We have finally got a 4.4mm balanced output connection on the S9 Pro Plus Martha. All previous models by Hidizs featured 2.5mm port for balanced connections. But as we all know, 4.4mm is now used widely for balanced connections so this is a must-have for the current flagship DAC/Amps by all the brands. Along with this 4.4mm balanced port, we also have a 3.5mm single-ended output for universal connection. It packs a strong output performance as well, delivering up to 180mW per channel through the 4.4mm connections and up to 138mW per channel through the 3.5mm output.
