TRIBIT StormBox Max launches September 28 with 60W 360° sound, XBass 2.0 and IP68 protection. The new TRIBIT StormBox Max officially launches on September 28, 2026, introducing a 60W acoustic system, 360° sound, XBass 2.0, Bluetooth 6.0, Auracast multi-speaker connectivity and IP68 protection in a compact design built for outdoor listening.
60W of powerful 360° sound
The StormBox Max is designed around a 60W audio system combining a 30W downward-firing neodymium woofer with four 7.5W silk-dome tweeters arranged in a 90-degree array. TRIBIT also uses a custom sound-reflection cone and an omnidirectional acoustic design intended to distribute sound around the speaker rather than concentrating it in a single listening direction, making the StormBox Max particularly suited to parties, garden gatherings, camping trips and outdoor sessions where people are moving around the speaker.
XBass 2.0 puts the low end under your control
Bass is one of the major highlights, with XBass 2.0 providing adjustable low-frequency enhancement through a physical control. TRIBIT says the system uses real-time bass detection and adjustment to increase low-end depth and impact, while the dedicated knob provides five adjustment steps, allowing users to move between a lighter presentation and a deeper, more powerful bass response.
Bluetooth 6.0 and Auracast bring the party together
Wireless connectivity gets a major upgrade with Bluetooth 6.0, supporting fast pairing, stable connections and a claimed range of up to 150 feet / 45 metres, while AAC and SBC codecs are supported. The StormBox Max also supports both traditional TWS stereo pairing and Auracast, allowing compatible speakers to share the same audio and creating a much larger sound field. TRIBIT states that Auracast can connect more than 100 speakers, while two StormBox Max units can be paired for true left/right stereo playback.
Up to 20 hours of playback and IP68 protection
The StormBox Max packs a 10,000mAh total battery capacity using two 5000mAh cells and is rated for up to 20 hours of playback under TRIBIT’s stated test conditions with default EQ at 50% volume. Charging takes approximately four hours through USB-C at up to 5V/3A. The speaker also carries an IP68 rating, giving it protection against dust and water when the charging-port cover is properly sealed, making it designed for considerably more demanding outdoor environments than a typical indoor Bluetooth speaker.
More than just a speaker
TRIBIT has also equipped the StormBox Max with reverse charging, allowing the speaker to provide power to compatible devices when an outlet is unavailable. A built-in microphone enables hands-free calls and voice-assistant functionality, while the TRIBIT app adds six preset EQ modes, a nine-band frequency adjustment system, ±6dB gain control and custom EQ configuration for users who want to fine-tune the sound rather than simply rely on the default profile.
Compact design made for moving
Despite its substantial acoustic output, the StormBox Max weighs approximately 1.184kg and measures around 203 × 109 × 109mm, with a silicone carrying handle integrated into the design. That combination makes it considerably easier to take from the living room to the garden, beach, campsite or outdoor party without dealing with the bulk normally associated with higher-output portable speakers.
