Unlike the Mate 20X from which it derives, the Mate 2X 5G provides a less powerful battery, with a capacity of 4,200mAh instead of 5,000mAh. To maintain the same thickness and insert the necessary components to support 5G (antennas in primis), Huawei had to sacrifice the space available to the battery.
A further modification, in this case an improvement, concerns the adoption of the SuperCharge 40W fast battery recharge, the same mode provided on the Mate 20 Pro. One of the first mobile operators to sell the Mate 20 X 5G will be China Unicom, at the moment it is not known if the 5G smartphone from Huawei will arrive in Europe.

Huawei already presented a few months ago its series P30 as the new terminals that were going to suppose a revolution for mobile photography, especially with its Pro model, but now it is time for other smartphones to see the light. After several rumors and leaks, finally has officially revealed the arrival of an improved version of one of the most important terminals of the company in the past 2018.
The Huawei Matte 20 X 5G has been officially presented by the company to bring compatibility with the most advanced networks as soon as they are commercially available. The only difference in specifications compared to the Standard model, apart from the 5G compatibility, is that this model has a battery of 4,200 mAh, somewhat smaller than its predecessor due to the inclusion of the necessary components inside for Admit 5G.
The terminal has a Kirin 980 processor accompanied by the modem Balong 5000, in addition to the triple rear camera of 40MP 20MP 8MP. The Huawei Matte 20 X 5G will be released in the UK this coming June for a price of 999 pounds, a considerable price hike to gain access to the 5G networks.
It also became known that the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G received a battery of smaller capacity than the original model, and the novelty has support for 40-watt charging.
The manufacturer said that Huawei Mate 20 X 5G is a more affordable version of the 5G smartphone for those who can not afford Huawei Mate X.
