iBasso DX160 Portable Music Player with 1080P Full Screen Presale Kicks Off
Regardless if it’s an entry or a flagship level DAP, every manufacturer has a different approach when it comes to new releases. No doubt, iBasso was due for a new DAP release, so nobody was shocked when DX160 was announced, but it did catch some by surprise when company revealed the spec.
The iBasso DX160 is the company’s new mid-range digital audio player featuring a dual CS43198 DAC implementation, Android Oreo, and a 5 inch Sharp 1080*9210 full screen. It is priced at a competitive $469.
It come with latest Bluetooth 5.0, 5 inch full screen delivering a massive view on an impressive body and hi-end DAC chips, it is catching the spec of some flagship P/Ns from other factory but price is not so high. What’s the main spec and what’s the difference, you will see from the comparing with flagship DAP Hiby R6 pro .
The DX160 uses a dual CS43198 chipset design which seems to be the flavor of the month. The CS43198 is capable of DSD over PCM (DSD DoP) up to DSD256 and PCM 32/384kHz. The chip makers also advertise a THD+N of around 115dB.
The DX160 design is relatively compact measuring in at 113 x 69 x 15mm. In fact, we found the dimensions quite similar to the FiiO M9 though the design is a little more refined on initial impression. The corning is a touch smoother and symmetrical on both sides with a glossy glass panel to the rear and a matte black anodized finish on tan aluminum chassis.
At the moment there are rare DAPs could support MQA decoding, but DX160 does support MQA. With Andriod Oreo OS and various APKs could be installed and MQA decoding, DX160 bring more fun for us.
Finally DX160 come to pre-sale Now.
