Ideas For a Runaway Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day usually means booking a table for two at a swanky restaurant or getting a couple of tickets to a movie or a show. In the current climate of restrictions though, the usual indoor dates don’t seem particularly feasible or attractive. This doesn’t mean you can’t have a romantic and memorable day though! What could be more romantic than a runaway Valentine’s Day, where you take a short trip out of town and leave everyone else behind!
Here are our proposals for a fun and creative Valentine’s Day away from the usual indoor venues.
Fire Without Smoke
When it comes to creating a romantic atmosphere, it’s all about the lighting. And on a chilly February evening outdoors, if you can add a bit of warmth then all the better! Smokeless firepits are becoming increasingly popular these days, and for good reason. For all of history and across all cultures, humans have always loved the warming glow of an evening fire. However, in the modern world, billowing out smoke is unpleasant, anti-social, and bad for the environment (not to mention not very romantic).
With the advent of smokeless firepits, you really can have fire without smoke. Imagine sitting out on Valentine’s night, sipping on a glass of wine next to a roaring fire and without a hint of smoke in the air. That beats an overpriced restaurant any day of the year!
Endless Candles – Endless Romance
If you consider a smokeless firepit too bulky, why not consider an electric endless candle? Candle-lit dinners are a must on Valentine’s day, but candles themselves can be a messy hassle. An electric candle produces the same warming glow and romantic atmosphere, but lasts all night and won’t cause a disaster if you knock it over!
Pack the Atmosphere in Your Bag
And if the yellow-tinged illumination of candles doesn’t create the atmosphere you’re looking for, how about this stylish lamp from AUKEY? It can create any color you can think of, from deep reds to cool blues, and it doesn’t have to be plugged in, meaning you can take it with you on your impulsive trip out of town. It’s the ultimate atmospheric light for a rustic Valentine’s Day away from home.
The Power of Flight
An outdoor Valentine’s Day can be improved no end through the skillful use of drones. A drone can not only record stunning vistas from incredible angles, but can also capture the happy couple in the same shot. Drone’s have even been used as a method of proposal, with the drone making a surprise entrance and depositing its ring cargo in style. AUKEY’s range of portable power stations, including PowerZeus 500 and PowerTitan 300, are great for keeping drones recharged, so you won’t have to worry about a crucial romantic moment being spoiled by a grounded drone.
Take the Cinema Outdoors
Most cinemas are closed at the moment, so the classic Valentine’s date of going to see a movie is off. However, portable projectors are getting better and better, and it’s not difficult at all to set up a screen outdoors and create your own private cinema screening. You could do it in your back garden, or better still, out in the countryside where it really is just the two of you. The utility of a power station really comes into its own in situations like this, giving you the freedom to create all the comforts of indoors wherever you choose to go.
Stay Warm and Cozy
After a romantic evening together, what could be better on a cold February night than a heated blanket to snuggle into! As with the drones and the outdoor movie screening, AUKEY’s power stations are ideal for heating an electric blanket while away from home. Even if you’re sleeping in a tent, you’ll never have been so warm on a cold February night!
Whatever you choose to do this Valentine’s day, make sure to keep it fun and creative!
