Introduction of No.I DT58’s HRV Measurement
As you guys may be noticed, No.I recently released the new tracker , their first one with HRV detection, guided breathing, and more features. You may wonder What Exactly is HRV? How can measure your HRV and can DT58 HRV detection meet medical standards?
What’s HRV?
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is the physiological phenomenon of variation in the time interval between heartbeats. Simply HRV is a measure of the variation in time between each heartbeat. (HRV) measures the specific changes in time (or variability) between successive heart beats. The time between beats is measured in milliseconds (ms) and is called an “R-R interval” or “inter-beat interval (IBI).”
What’s the difference between HRV and HR?
Heart rate (HR) is measured by the number of times your heart beats per minute. It does not require exact times – just the average of the beats in a given time period. For example, a 60 beats per minute HR could mean 1 beat per second or it could mean an average of 1 beat every 0.5s, 1.5s, 0.5s, 1.5s, etc. And unlike your heart rate, which you can calculate by counting your pulse, heart rate variability (HRV) is measured at the doctor’s office with an electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) test that records the electrical activity of your heart. Heart rate variability (HRV) measures the specific changes in time (or variability) between successive heart beats.
Why HRV is expected?
When it comes to your health, it is now easy to measure and track all kinds of information. In the comfort of a simple wearable gadget on your wrist: you can check your blood pressure, number of steps, calories, heart rate, and sleep. Recently people are paying attention to an interesting marker for resilience and behavioral flexibility, which is called HRV.
Why should you check your HRV? Let’s see what health experts and institutions say about it.
– “HRV is a very good measure of the efficiency and performance of your cardiovascular system,” John P. Higgins, MD, MBA, a sports cardiologist at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
– “Heart Rate Variability is THE most important health tracker you’ve never heard of” – Women’s Health Magazine
– “Heart Rate Variability is the most important parameter for the exact assessment of the functional vitality, of health and well-being.” – Report on HRV by Dr. Kai Boenart & Dr.Michael Suess of KB Institute for Life Energy GmbH (Germany)
– “Heart rate variability(HRV) is incredibly useful for preventing disease and early mortality” – criticalcareassessment.com
– “Those who are familiar with Heart Rate Variability (HRV) know it as the best predictor of illness and death available” – “ The Heart of Health”
– “HRV is probably the strongest predictor of cardiac health, which in turn translates to overall well-being,” – Emad Aziz, D.O., a cardiologist who specializes in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at St. Luke’sRoosevelt Hospital in New York City
Now you have a simple understanding of What exactly is HRV and why it’s important to our health. Are we ready to take a look at how DT58 works?
Can DT58 check your HRV like medical equipment do?
THE DEVICE (DT58) IS NOT INTENDED FOR MEDICAL PURPOSE. PLEASE GO TO THE HOSPITAL FOR INSPECTION IF AN ABNORMALITY IS DETECTED. DT NO.1 devices (smartwatches and trackers) are following/producing under the most accurate medical standards. But, again, our devices IS NOT INTENDED FOR MEDICAL PURPOSE. If you decide to use HRV as another piece of data, do not get too confident if you have a high HRV, or too scared if your HRV is low. Think of HRV as a preventive tool, a visual insight into the most primitive part of your brain.
How to use DT58 HRV?
How to measure your HRV on DT58? Check out the video down below!
First step, swipe to “HRV”;
Second, long press Metal Piece for 60 seconds. Stay still, don’t move your hands. (Otherwise, it fails to be measured.)
After 60 seconds testing, the screen will show out your heart rate variability data of
– HRV
– RPAI
– MSI
– BPM
