LineageOS Russian Team Starts to Work for UMIDIGI Devices with Custom ROMs
LineageOS, who provides the most popular free and open-source operating system for Android, recently claimed that it will provide UMIDIGI with unofficial ROMs, covering phone versions from UMIDIGI S2 Lite to UMIDIGI One, UMIDIGI Z2 and the ones after.
Actually UMIDIGI said that any user’s unofficial flash machine behavior is at risk, and UMIDIGI is not responsible for any resulting problems. At the same time, UMIDIGI shows confidence in their own official package, and suggests strong determination in improving their user experience in 2018.
Anyway, it is undoubtedly a good news for Android enthusiasts. In case that the official ROM couldn’t satisfy users’ needs or when users are tired of it, there is another option from LineageOS. But just don’t forget, it’s under risk.
LineageOS grows out of CyanogenMod(CM), and the latter is the world’s largest third-party compilation team for Android. CyanogenMod’s core team members along with the founding father Steve Kondik are retained in LineageOS, to some extent LineageOS is the continuation of the CM.
