Moondrop Armature Art 24 Flagship IEM
In order to break away from the traditional hybrid and create something unique with the flagship, Moondrop has equipped the AA24 with a whopping 24BA drivers on each side. The pair is designed to maximize transient speed, precision, and consistency of BA drivers without any compromise. The dense 24-driver setup is implemented by their sophisticated XTM complex crossover technology to get the best out of each driver. In fact, every driver has been purposefully selected and designed to play a distinctive role in the vast acoustic design. The foundation is built upon Moondrop’s patented 16BA SUPERWOOFER module. They have connected and created a composite BA driver with 16 balanced armature drivers. By utilizing progressively delayed acoustic channels, this innovative 16-driver bass matrix overcomes traditional BA limitations, delivering the physical slam and dynamic impact of a dynamic driver while maintaining lightning-fast decay.
For midrange, we have a custom-developed 4-driver composite BA with aluminium-magnesium alloy diaphragm drivers that ensure exceptionally rich and transparent vocals and detailed instruments. The treble frequencies are masterfully handled by a 4-driver composite BA setup with a unique damping suspension. It guarantees a smooth, airy treble extension that effortlessly resolves micro-details and promises a highly detailed sound for the listeners. Controlling such a massive driver configuration is no small feat. To guarantee absolute phase alignment, Moondrop teamed up with 3D-printing pioneer HeyGears. The ear shells are designed with a highly precise, custom-molded acoustic tube structure that isolates specific frequency bands, resulting in pinpoint imaging and stellar acoustic cohesion across the entire frequency response range
Moondrop is widely regarded as one of the finest IEM manufacturers all over the world. The Armature Art 24 is nothing short of a showstopper. The rear cavities are meticulously CNC-machined from a premium aluminium alloy material, creating a robust cavity structure optimized to eliminate resonance and maintain acoustic stability. The faceplates are where the AA24 truly shines. Constructed from an ultra-hard ferroalloy panel, they flaunt a mesmerizing “Ice Flower” crystal motif. A specialized nitrogen-surface treatment is applied to significantly boost wear resistance and durability. Because of the intricate heat-treatment manufacturing process, every single pair of the AA24 boasts a completely unique pattern, making it a bespoke piece of functional art.
To ensure the AA24 performs at its absolute peak right out of the box, Moondrop has paired it with a top-tier hybrid cable. This custom wire utilizes a rich blend of 19-core high-purity single-crystal copper and 19-core pure silver, all wrapped in a sleek, durable woven sleeve for uncompromised signal transmission. This cable has a swappable termination plug system with 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs bundled in the package. Moondrop is also including a generous selection of three different ear tip styles, notably debuting their brand-new ATF series Sponge Silicone tips for supreme comfort and seal.
