Nokia 2.2 launches in India

The Nokia 2.2 is the new entry Android One smarphone from Nokia HMD.

Nokia 2.2

Powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 – a fast and highly efficient 2GHz quad-core SoC with IMG PowerVR graphics and great imaging hardware inside – it can be spec’d with 2GB/16GB or 3GB/32GB memory and storage options, plus microSD expansion slot, and is available in either ‘Steel’ (silver/gray) and ‘Tungsten Black’ color options. Nokia’s interchangable ‘Xpress-on’ rear covers allow you to snap on new colors for a fresh look and extra protection.

If you prefer using one-hand for smartphones while on the go, the Nokia 2.2’s slightly smaller size should suit. The 5.71-inch HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio puts its 5MP selfie camera in the small waterdrop notch, which also offers secure facial unlocking tech. At the back there’s a 13MP camera with large 1.12um pixels to capture more light, plus Nokia’s own AI-powered low-light advancements.

Nokia ships the 2.2 with the latest Android 9 Pie operating system in its native state as an Android One device, and adds a dedicated Google Assistant button to the edge, making it easier to shortcut actions just by asking. Nokia specifically highlights 2 years of updates and 3 of security updates, ensuring buyers that even though this is budget device it’ll remain relevant and secure for the long-term.
