OPPO Ranks Eighth Globally for 5G Standard Essential Patents
On January 23, 2025, LexisNexis, a U.S. company, released its latest report titled “Who Is Leading the 5G Patent Race?” This report provides a comprehensive analysis and ranking of global 5G standard essential patents (SEPs). OPPO ranked eighth on this list, demonstrating its strong capabilities and substantial technological accumulation in the 5G field.
Additionally, in January 2025, the well-known intellectual property website Patently published a report on “The Top100 Global 5G Standard Essential Patent Holders for 2025.” The report similarly showed that OPPO ranked eighth among global companies for 5G standard essential patents.

As of December 31, 2024, OPPO’s total number of global patent applications exceeded 110,000, with more than 61,000 authorized patents.
