Osmo Pocket 3.5mm Adapter on sale, record your video with higher sound quality
DJI company has made great development on in both stabilizers and cameras. For example, the Osmo Pocket camera released last year has gained wide popularities on the market. Now, DJI released another accessories for the Osmo Pocket camera – Osmo Pocket 3.5mm Adapter, which enables users recording higher sound quality for their videos).
The Osmo Pocket 3.5mm Adapter, priced at $39, can be connected with the camera’s USB Type-C port and is compatible with many other microphone products, such as Rode, Audio-Technica and Sennheiser.
Why does the DJI release the Osmo Pocket 3.5mm Adapter? As we know, the Osmo Pocket camera comes with a built-in microphone, which can only meet the need of common use. While if you want to record videos with high sound quality, its shortcoming becomes obvious. So the 3.5mm adapter is necessary in such case.
The Osmo Pocket 3.5mm microphone adapter uses a USB Type-C interface, which can be directly connected to the pocket camera socket. On the other end, it is equipped with a 3.5mm universal interface, which can connect to audio recording devices, such as our own wireless Mic.
Here one thing to note is that all the 3.5mm audio jack looks similar, but there are some differences in the numbers of contacts at both ends. For example, the TS cable only supports mono audio, TRS supports stereo, while the TRRS supports stereo and microphone.
The newly released Osmo Pocket USB-C to 3.5mm microphone adapter only applies to the TRS type. Therefore, if your microphone device just provide TRRS jack, you need a TRRS to TRS tieline to use it.
The DJI Osmo Pocket 3.5mm Adapter is now available on B&H Photo and DJI official web with the price of $39.
