OUKITEL U23 vs. Huawei P20 Pro
In recent two years, top brands like Apple and Huawei have been releasing flagship smartphones with super high price which makes many users wonder if it is really worthwhile to pay so much money for a smartphone that you may just use it for about one or two years. For a flagship which is $800 and a flagship which is just $200, will the $800 phone be 4 times better in all aspects than the $200 priced phone? Design and Build Quality
Looking at the appearance design of U23 and P20 Pro, both of them appears to have a flagship grade build quality and looks premium in design. Both features a FHD+ display with the notch, but OUKITEL U23 gets a smaller bottom bezel due to the rear press fingerprint sensor. OUKITEL U23 only offers the twilight blue-to-purple gradient color, while Huawei P20 Pro offers twilight, black, pink gold, and blue version. Software and Performance
OUKITEL U23 carries stock Android 8.1 Oreo, while Huawei P20 Pro use their own OS EMUI 8.1 which based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Software updating is finally reflected in daily life tasks handling performance. In this aspect, we believe that both phones will perform smooth and stable in daily life using. The P20 Pro is fueled by a more powerful Huawei Kirin 970 octa-core CPU, while U23 packs the MediaTek helio P23 octa-core Soc. Obviously, Huawei P20 Pro performs better in heavy games like 3D games. However, in the last few years, the smartphone chipsets have been improved a lot, so both P20 Pro and U23 is capable of handling latest popular games, multitasks with no pressure.
Camera Photography
Regarding the camera, Huawei P20 Pro is definitely better than U23 as it adopts 3 LEICA lens with 40M/20MP/8MP with f/1.6 aperture, while U23 features dual-lens rear camera with Samsung S5K3P9 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor. Considering the price of $870 vs $210, and comparing the photos which Huawei P20 Pro has taken and U23 has taken, the photo quality of U23 is not 4 times worse, but comparatively good for daily life photography.
