Ahoy there!
Having bought my uleFone Power 2 smartphone in early 2018,I contacted the manufacturer direct asking about the firmware update to Android Oreo 8/8.1 and they said it will NOT be happening, and thus far, it seems to be as they said to me as it’s now getting towards the middle of November 2018 and no update has been downloaded or installed.
Unless there’s a generic back door method that won’t turn your phone into the worlds most expensive paperweight, it seems we’re going to have to live with it as per how it came out of the factory.
One interesting point of note I’ve found is that I’ve download a couple of battery care apps (deleted now), but both apps have stated the battery is 2000 mAh and not 1600 mAh as per the product data. I’m not a techno geek so I’m unable to verify the info the battery apps produced, but is that something other owners have discovered and additionally, if it’s correct, then does that have any bearing of the phone’s functionality or anything else?
