Realme U1 launches with MediaTek Helio P70

Touted as ‘India’s SelfiePro’ phone, the freshly launched Realme U1 is part of the new U-series targeting a fashion-conscious youth. Packing a 25MP flagship Sony IMX 576 sensor, this AI-enhanced front-facing camera is backed by the latest MediaTek’s Helio P70 processor inside. The P70 blends an octet of A73/A53 CPUs with a multi-core, multi-threaded AI processing unit, which is ideal for grabbing great pics, streaming, intense gaming or the latest apps.

Realme is going all-in for personalized photography, with dozens of studio-quality portrait and beautification enhancements, all based on locally-tested optimizations. Real-time Hybrid HDR, bokeh and other AI-tweaked photography effects are all made possible by the P70’s powerful hardware mix and Realme’s clever software.

Even compared to the P60, the new P70 features a more effective AI multi-threading engine and scheduler, as well as performance tweaks among CPU and GPU. Gamers get new enhancements through latency reductions in essential areas such as touch controls and networking, for the most responsive experience and stable 60fps frame-rates.

On the outside, the Realme U1 features an attractive ‘dewdrop screen’ to house the front camera, sensors and earpiece among its huge 6.3” FHD+ all-screen display, with broad 90.8% screen-to-body ratio. Available in exciting ‘Ambitious Black’, ‘Fiery Gold’ and ‘Brave Blue’, the rear-side showcases a crafted 13-layer Light Pillar Design among its dual 2.5D shape with rounded edges for a comfortable grip. Inside it’s large 3500mAh battery is managed by with Realme’s AI Power Master, which allocates resources and power management smartly. For security and convenience, its AI face-unlock takes just 0.1 seconds.
