Redmi Y3 released in India: offering 32MP front camera with AI beauty function


Xiaomi released new Redmi series smartphones Redmi Y3 in India on April 24. It arrives with Snapdragon 632 processor and 32MP front camera. The selling price starts from 9999 Indian rupees (about $143).

In terms of price, the Redmi Y3 3GB+32GB Edition sells for 9999 Indian rupees (about $143), and the 4GB+64GB version sells for 11999 Indian rupees (about $171).

The Red Y3 focuses on selfie shotting, and adopts 32MP front camera, which is Redmi’s first 32MP front camera smartphone. According to the official introduction, Redmi Y3 support AI Beauty 4.0 and AI portrait pattern, which can intelligently identify the age, gender, facial characteristics of the subject to give you a customized beauty program.

More importantly, when taking a selfie in a dark light scene, the Redmi Y3 32 million pixels will intelligently aggregates the 1.6μm large pixels to capture more facial details, and there is no problem to take an excellent selfie at night.

In terms of main specs, Redmi Y3 uses a 6.3-inch water drop notch screen with the resolution of 1520x720px. And it is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor. Camera-wise, the Redmi Y3 offers 12MP + 2MP AI dual cameras, of which the unit pixel area of the 12MP main lens is 1.25μm, and it supports AI scene recognition. Besides, it is powered by a 4000mAh large battery.

The Redmi Y3 will officially go on sale in India on April 30.
