Microsoft will hold its long-awaited E3 conference on Sunday 9 June at 22:00 (peninsular time). The company has already confirmed that it will be one in which there will be all kinds of announcements and novelties. But what do they mean? Thurott’s Brad Sams, one of the firm’s best-known insiders, has information about much of what will be shown at the Redmond company’s annual show.
Halo Infinite, Gears 5 and multiple first party video games
Sams first goes for sure: Gears 5, the fifth part of the saga, will be present at the conference. Microsoft has confirmed its presence, and given the proximity of its launch, it will be the last time we see the game at an important event before it reaches the hands of consumers. But Halo, another of the ship’s licenses led by Phil Spencer, will also have its place. According to the source, Halo Infinite will run on a high-end PC to offer the best possible graphic section, avoiding speculation and reaffirming its commitment to the ecosystem of compatible, a key strategy in the company.
Apparently, it will also show Fable 4, the expected new delivery of the Fable license, which will have a new approach. In fact, today we knew some details, like the presence of an open world, the elimination of firearms from the formula and the inclusion of crafting options, construction and some kind of multiplayer, all built on the all-powerful Unreal Engine 4. But Brad Sams emphasizes that you will see more things beyond the familiar and beloved licenses.
Microsoft will pull muscle with three new video games from its first party studios, now under the umbrella of Xbox Game Studios. In fact, the company dropped that at least 14 of these future games would be seen at E3, so the idea of knowing completely new video games is not far-fetched. One of them would be Ninja Theory’s, and the other, believes the insider, the inXile. The same report talks about a very extensive catalog in terms of third party representation, with the incorporations of expected games like Cyberpunk 2077, Borderlands 3 and it is expected that the hypothetical new FromSoftware game, one of the most rumored, will be seen here.
