SDMC’s Home AI Agent Unlocks Growth Potential for Operators’ AI Home Business
At Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC 2025), SDMC showcased its innovative applications of Cedar, SDMC’s home AI agent deeply integrated with Google Gemini, helping operators build a more efficient and competitive smart home ecosystem.
AI-Powered Network Maintenance
SDMC offers comprehensive broadband solutions supporting cutting-edge technologies such as XGS-PON, DOCSIS 4.0, 5G and Wi-Fi 7. Supporting major chipsets and built on an open ecosystem architecture, SDMC delivers 10G ultra-high-speed connections for both wide-area broadband coverage and targeted wireless access. This helps operators optimize resource allocation, enhance service experience, and expand value-added services. SDMC has also integrated Cedar into SDMC’s XHome AI platform, a device management and operation platform designed for operators, enabling real-time data analysis and automated maintenance reports. This empowers operators to optimize network performance, accelerate the transition to intelligent operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce maintenance costs—offering a highly flexible and effective network management solution.
AI-Enhanced Network Coverage
By integrating Cedar into home networking devices, SDMC advances AI applications that deliver smarter, more stable connectivity. Leveraging cloud collaboration capabilities, routers can self-diagnose and monitor network status in real-time, ensuring high-speed stable operation and helping operators improve service quality and customer satisfaction. SDMC has also launched the Matter Gateway supporting multiple protocols including Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Thread, and Zigbee. With NFC “tap-to-connect” functionality, this Matter Gateway significantly simplifies network configuration, ensuring smooth, stable connectivity throughout the home and helping operators create a more convenient and efficient home network ecosystem.
AI-Transformed Smart Home Ecosystem
AI is transforming home services, enabling seamless integration across devices and scenarios. Through Cedar, SDMC enhances key areas such as home entertainment, smart control, and smart security, enabling seamless integration across apps, smart speakers, TV boxes, and routers. This evolution moves home services beyond isolated device control, creating a seamlessly connected ecosystem where devices and scenarios work together—laying the foundation for AI Home. By leveraging AI, Cedar learns user behavior to deliver highly personalized content recommendations with precision. Beyond content, it redefines voice interactions—overcoming the limitations of traditional assistants to enable seamless, natural-language-driven automation for effortless smart home control.
