Shanling needs no introduction among audiophiles. It’s a premium brand with years and years of expertise in designing premium-quality HiFi audio gear. The brand focuses both on a portable as well as a desktop range of products for audio lovers. Late last year, Shanling launched the H7 High-End Portable DAC/AMP. The Shanling H7 got wide recognition for its outstanding sound capabilities. Based on the flagship H7, Shanling has come up with a brand new portable DAC/AMP in the mid-if segment with the launch of the all-new Shanling H5.
Shanling has designed the latest H5 with a premium dual-DAC chipset featuring two AK4493SEQ DAC hips from AKM Technologies. Along with the XMOS XU316 USB Processor chip, the Shanling H5 provides exceptional clarity and lovely tonality for the listeners. It supports high-resolution PCM(up to 32-Bit/768kHz) and native DSD512 audio signal when using USB mode. It also has digital coax input as well as an in-built microSD card slot supporting microSD cards up to 2TB in capacity. Shanling has equipped the H5 with OPAMP-based strong amplification architecture with dual TPA6120 and OPA1612 OPAMP chips. Together with customized FPGA architecture, and NDK femtosecond crystal oscillator, the Shanling H5 promises quality sound output for the users.
Shanling has featured both single-ended as well as balanced headphone outputs on the H5. It features 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced headphone connections. You also have an RCA line-out function on the H5. It has a built-in three-level gain mode for easy connection with different IEMs and headphones. Shanling H5 has an output power rating of up to 840mW(balanced 4.4mm, 32Ω), and up to 227mW(single-ended, 32Ω).
Shanling H5 supports a high-definition wireless Bluetooth connection option. It supports high-res codecs including LDAC, AAC, and SBC. The H5 is made up of high-quality aviation-grade magnesium-aluminum alloy material. The device itself is compact in nature and has a weight of just 270 grams. It’s a device designed for people who are always on the go. You can load a memory stick with your favorite tracks and access them through the Eddict Player application on your smartphone remotely controlling the device. Shanling H5 is an interesting device that one can use easily.
