Shanling UP4 Shipped Since 11th of November
Shanling UP4 High-fidelity Bluetooth Amplifier, announced by Shanling in September 2019 will go on reservation finally at price US$ 99.99 and shipment will be released since November,11th.
Bluetooth 5.0 DAC
In addition to its considerable lossless Bluetooth format support, the UP4 is also quite the capable unit when it comes to USB decoding. Utilizing an independent control chip, the UP4 is capable of asynchronous audio decoding under USB Audio Class 2.0. And when connected as a USB DAC through its USB Type-C connector, the UP4 can decode up to 384kHz sampling rate and native DSD. Bluetooth stability and range were an extremely sore-spot for Shanling as it proved to be quite underwhelming in some of their past devices. In the case of the UP4, we are seeing Shanling make a specific mention on the impressive Bluetooth range of the devices, quoted as being up to 20 meters in an open area.
External USB DAC
UP4 is not just a Bluetooth product. While UP4 is primarily designed for use with headphones on the go, it can also serve as a source in any 2-channel rigs, connected to active speakers or even to a power amplifier. UP4 can also be used with any computer as a USB DAC/AMP.
