SMSL D6s: High-Performance Audio Decoder
Introducing the all-new SMSL D6s, a second-generation to the best-selling SMSL D6. SMSL has brought noticeable upgrades to the D6s that bring drastic improvements over its previous generation. This includes newer-generation ESS Sabre DAC, MQA & MQA-CD certification, premium quality OPAMPs, and more. D6s is designed with the latest-generation ES9039Q2M DAC chipset. This new 32-bit DAC from ESS Sabre Technologies brings crisp sound signal decoding. Paired with XMOS XU316 16-core 3rd gen USB processor we get full support for 32-bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD512 audio decoding.
With a new generation DAC, and 16-core USB processor, we get ultra-clear sound signal decoding with the SMSL D6s. The DAC achieves exceptionally clean output with best-in-class SNR, DNR, and THD+N performance. It also has MQA and MQA-CD certification supporting top-class studio-grade sound signal decoding in a compact form factor. We have multiple input-output options on the D6s. For input, we have USB, Coaxial, Optical, and even High-Definition Bluetooth V5.1 as well. The D6s supports advanced high-resolution Bluetooth protocols including LDAC, AptX HD, AptX, SBC, AAC, and more. As for output, we have both single-ended and balanced connections with RCA and XLR outputs.
SMSL has also equipped the D6s with a self-developed low-noise power supply that provides clear power to the entire audio circuitry. SMSL DA1: High-Power Stereo Amplifier
The second launch today is the SMSL DA1, a high-power stereo amplifier. This is designed especially for bookshelf speakers that require a power amplifier. SMSL has carefully designed the DA1 with American imported TPA3118 digital power amplifier chip. We also have a specially designed audio circuit with a POP noise control design. We don’t get a sudden POP sound upon booting that might damage our speakers.
The DA1 is designed in a compact and versatile design. It has a small audio circuit which results in clean signal amplification with low distortion introduction. The SMSL DA1 has a maximum output power of 65W per channel at 4Ω of impedance load. It is a compact power amplifier designed for people who are looking for a simple design amp for their bookshelf speakers.
