As a brand, SMSL has a huge collection of HiFi desktop gear. This includes dedicated DACs, Headphone amplifiers, Speaker amplifiers, etc. We can say, SMSL has extensive experience in designing successful desktop audio gear. SMSL PL100 has a built-in DAC chipset featuring CS43131 high-performance DAC. It is a 32-bit DAC that is widely known for its crisp high-resolution audio signal processing and efficient performance promising clean output with high SNR, DNR, and ultra-low THD+N performance. SMSL PL100 also has dedicated Coaxial and Optical digital output support. On its own, SMSL PL100 doesn’t support MQA signal processing, but you can use MQA-CD and take digital output through the Coaxial or Optical port and use MQA decoding through a different DAC in your chain. Even if it’s not for MQA, you can still use DACs in your chain with Coaxial or Optical connections.
SMSL has treated the PL100 with a dedicated Low-Jitter 2nd-generation PLL Circuitry. It is designed with premium-quality audio components that ensure smooth sound signal processing by effectively reducing the Audio Clock Jitter.
SMSL PL100 has analog line-out support as well. It features RCA single-ended line-out, you can use it with active speakers, headphone amplifiers, or power amplifiers in your chain. We also have a 3.5mm headphone output with the PL100, it has an output rating of 60 mW at 32Ω impedance load. It would be good for your IEMs allowing you to enjoy your CD collection with your favorite set of IEMs. SMSL has designed the PL100 with exquisite craftsmanship. The CD Player has an all-aluminium frame. It has retro-style physical media control keys on the front side and a small display screen as well. This screen shows active playback status like Track number and time. SMSL has treated the PL100 with high-quality gold-plated connectors for input and output functions.
