SMSL PL200 MKII CD Player with ES9039Q2M DAC
To guarantee flawless physical media playback, SMSL has equipped the PL200 MKII with its proprietary PASS high-precision CD Servo system. This custom architecture utilizes closed-loop precision control over the spindle motor, radial balance, tracking, and focusing. By combining this with a highly rigid mechanism base and a multi-point anti-vibration damping structure, the device completely suppresses any centrifugal vibrations during disc rotation. The result is a silky-smooth, error-free readout showcased through a beautiful, transparent top-loading CD mechanism. Once the data is perfectly extracted, it is handed over to the premium ES9039Q2M 32-bit DAC, which flawlessly decodes high-resolution audio up to 32-Bit/768kHz and DSD512.
To ensure absolute timing accuracy across all digital transmissions, the PL200 MKII employs SMSL’s patented CK-03 clock processing circuit featuring second-generation PLL technology to eliminate digital jitter, while also supporting an external clock input for ultimate scalability. On the amplification front, it packs a serious punch. The device features a specialized, patented PLFC-based headphone amplifier utilizing discrete components, capable of delivering a massive 1.5W of output power per channel at 16Ω. Accompanied by a two-level gain adjustment and both 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs, it easily pairs well with IEMs as well as Headphones. Furthermore, a high-end Qualcomm chipset provides high-definition Bluetooth V5.1 connectivity with LDAC and aptX HD support. Uniquely, this Bluetooth functionality is two-way, allowing users to not only receive wireless audio but also transmit CD and USB playback directly to wireless headphones or speakers.
