MP145 established Hidizs’ signature approach in the planar IEM space: an ultra-large 14.5mm planar magnetic driver in a compact in-ear format, shaped by an acoustic tuning philosophy aimed at accurate, natural reproduction. MP145 PRO is positioned as the “next step” in that same arc: an evolution built on the success of MP145 and MP143, designed for listeners who want a more reference-grade presentation without losing the musicality that made the series popular.
Engineering that backers can hear
At the heart of the platform is Hidizs’ 14.5mm planar driver concept, paired with a fully symmetrical magnetic circuit design that—on MP145—uses a 7+7 N52H magnet arrangement and reaches close to 1 Tesla magnetic flux at the magnetic gap for improved efficiency and lower distortion. That foundation matters because it’s what enables planar speed and cleanliness: fast transients, strong separation, and a sense of effortless detail when the recording calls for it. For MP145 PRO, Hidizs’ message is clear: upgrades across the driver system and supporting hardware (magnetic circuit, diaphragm, cable, and connectivity) are intended to refine the full spectrum—more controlled bass, a richer midrange with minimal coloration, and more extended treble for a wider, more expansive soundstage.
Built for real-world listening
The MP145 platform was designed to be practical as well as audiophile-focused: high sensitivity (104 dB) with 30Ω impedance, making it easy to drive from phones, dongle DACs, and portable players. It also uses a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin connector system for easy cable swaps and long-term serviceability. MP145 PRO continues that “use it anywhere” intent by offering both 3.5mm and 4.4mm plug options so backers can match their source—single-ended or balanced—without adapters becoming part of the daily routine.

Hidizs has explicitly tied this product family to WDC from the development stage onward, describing the partnership as support for protecting marine ecosystems and raising awareness of whales’ importance in ocean health.
