Topping DX5 Lite, Latest All-in-One Desktop DAC/AMP with Dual ES9068AS DAC Chips
XTopping is a well-recognized name in the HiFi audio industry today. The brand is not bound to any kind of introduction to audiophiles, they are probably one of the largest manufacturers of desktop HiFI audio gear. Back in 2022, Topping released the DX5, an all-in-one DAC/AMP that boasts exciting performance with its dual ESS DAC chips and NFCA headphone ampler circuit. Today, Topping has introduced the all-new DX5 Lite, which promises the same trusted performance as the DX5 with the same audio circuitry. The only difference with the DX5 Lite over the previous model is the absence of MQA decoding which has brought a noticeable cut to the retail cost. Apart from that everything is kept the same be it the high-performance dual ESS DAC chipset, or the NFCA module, or the multiple input/output functions, the DX5 Lite has the same exact performance as its elder brother.
Topping DX5 Lite is a true single all-in-one device ideal for an entertainment system. This single compact device can act as both Audio Signal Decoder and an amplifier. It houses dual ES9068AS 32-bit high-performance DAC chips from ESS Sabre Technologies. Together with a specially-developed NFCA amplification circuit, the DX5 Lite promises quality output with ultra-low distortion and high Signal-to-Noise ratio performance. It treats the listeners with a clean, precise, accurate sound performance with an ultra-clean background. Topping DX5 Lite supports most leading audio signals supporting PCM signals up to 32-Bit/768kHz bitrate and native DSD512 audio signals.
The DX5 Lite houses Qualcomm’s latest QCC5125 Bluetooth Processor chip. It provides high-resolution Bluetooth connectivity. It enables high-definition Wireless Bluetooth connectivity for signal input and supports the most advanced Bluetooth protocols including LDAC, AptX HD, AptX, SBC, and AAC. Apart from Wireless Bluetooth, we also have USB, Optical, and Coaxial signal input options with the DX5 Lite. For output, Topping DX5 Lite features XLR, RCA line-out functions, and 6.35mm single-ended and 4-pin XLR balanced headphone connections.
The built-in NFCA Headphone amplifier makes the DX5 Lite compatible with most headphones and IEMs out there. It produces a powerful amplification delivering up to 1.8W(1800mW) of clean output at 32Ω of impedance load. With two-level gain modes, the Topping DX5 is compatible with both high-sensitivity IEMs and high-power-requiring full-sized headphones. This single compact device can easily elevate the way you enjoy your favorite music.
