Over the past 15 years with dedicated R&D, Topping has gained expertise in the design and development of premium quality desktop audio gear. They have designed the latest DX9 as their 15th-anniversary flagship product with the best quality components available in the market today. At the very core, we have AKM’s flagship AK4499EQ 32-bit DAC chipset. It is a four-channel DAC that is comparable to dual AK4499EX DAC chips. It helps the DX9 to achieve top-quality characteristics in decoding Hi-Res PCM and Native DSD signals achieving the lowest distortion of <0.00007% and a high DNR of 132dB, basically promising clean output with no audible noise-floor or harmonic distortion.
Topping has equipped the DX9 with a self-developed six-channel high-power discrete component NFCA headphone amp module. It produces a strong output delivering a maximum output of up to 10W per channel at 16Ω and up to 7W at 32Ω impedance load at 0.00009% THD+N harmonic distortion. It can drive even the most demanding headphones on the planet without breaking a sweat. With a specially developed resistor relay-based hybrid volume control, you can easily pair your low-power requiring headphones or in-ear monitors as well, it enables precise volume adjustment on the DX9. The resistor-based relay volume is matched with digital volume control bringing you a true hybrid volume control on the DX9. Topping DX9 definitely is a powerhouse, a true flagship DAC/AMP for your desktop!! The DX9 is designed with an independent low-noise power supply design for both the analog and digital circuits. This helps in achieving cleaner output while providing constant power to the circuits.
Topping DX9 has a full range of input-output options. It adopts an AK4118 receiver that enables smooth SPDIF digital input. Topping has featured dual Coaxial, dual Optical, USB, I2S, AES, and Bluetooth input options on the DX9. For smooth Bluetooth connectivity, The DX9 houses Qualcomm’s latest QCC5125 Bluetooth chipset. It provides the latest Bluetooth connectivity with high-definition protocols including LDAC, AptX HD, AptX Adaptive, etc. As for output, we have 6.35mm single-ended+4.4mm Balanced+4-pin XLR balanced headphone output ports on the DX9. It also supports independent Line-out and Preamp output with RCA and XLR output ports. XLR ports adopt NEUTRIK connectors for true flagship performance.
