Topping NX7 Portable Headphone Amplifier Released
Topping is a highly accomplished brand when it comes to audio gears. Their products range from desktop dacs, headphone and stereo power amplifiers, dac-amps and more. Most of their products are very popular because they offer high performance for their price segment. They have recently announced the NX7, their latest flagship portable headphone amplifier. It features Topping’s NFCA circuit and offers both 4.4mm +3.5mm output port. It is very powerful with 1200mW of maximum output power, which can drive your IEMs and full-sized headphones with headroom to spare.
Features
– Newly developed NFCA (Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) module.
– Slim and easy to carry
– Amazing Output power
– Both 3.5mm and 4.4mm output options
– Three-level gain adjustment
– Equally capable of driving sensitive IEMs and High-impedance cans
– Anti miss touch and anti-breaking design
– Long battery life.
Newly developed NFCA Module
Topping developed a new NFCA Module specially designed for portable amplifiers. NFCA (Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) module enables it to produce clean and high power at a very low output impedance. The NX7 has an astonishing 0.00007% THD+N and 135dB SNR rating.
Suitable for both Sensitive IEMs and power-hungry full-sized headphones
With three adjustable gain levels and low output impedance, it can drive both IEMs and full-sized headphones to their full capability.
Ultra-low distortion
It can output 180mW/300ohms. Moreover, with the help of three adjustable gain levels, it becomes even more versatile. The distortion is very low at 0.00008% even with 200mW output.
Impressive performance with IEM
With -13.8dB on low gain, you can use it with your highly sensitive IEMs with ease with precise volume control.
Low output Impedance
It has a <0.1 output impedance. As a result, there is no coloration with highly sensitive IEMs. With Topping NX7, you can forget about sound matching and use it without any hiss.
20h battery life
The NX7 is optimized for long battery life. Even with the medium gain, you can get 20 hours of battery life, while the battery life still reaches 10h with high gain.
Anti-Mistouch and anti-breaking design
It has corner guards to prevent accidental volume change, which also helps reduce the possibility of breaking the headphone plug.
Difference between NX4 and NX7
1. Type :The NX4 is a dac-amp, while the NX7 is a pure headphone amplifier.
2. Gain adjustment: The NX7 has three-level gains, the NX4 has two.
3. Battery life: The NX7 has 20 hrs battery life, the NX4 has 28 hrs on amplifer mode and 7.5+ as dac-amp mode.
4. The NX7 has line-in port, while the NX4 has Line-in and micro-usb input.
Pricing and Availability
The NX7 was announced on November 30, 2021. It is readily available to purchase from HiFiGo.
