Triple Camera Vivo Y17 Launches in India

Vivo brings three rear cameras to a powerful mainstream smartphone with its new Y17.

Vivo Y17

The larger 6.35” smartphone offers a tall 19.3:9aspect ratio with “Halo FullView™ Display” and is powered by the latest MediaTek Helio P35 chip inside; a fast 2.3GHz octa-core CPU with IMG PowerVR 8320-class graphics and built on a highly-efficient 12nm FinFET process. Vivo includes its own Ultra Gaming Mode that dedicates system resources to maximize gaming performance. The Y17 features 4GB of memory and generous 128GB of storage, plus a monstrous 5,000mAh battery and 18W ‘Dual Engine’ fast-charging to juice this big battery in no time.

It’s triple camera array features an 8MP f/2.2 wide-angle camera, 13 MP f/2.2 ‘normal’ focal length and the third is a 2MP used for depth sensing. Behind the cameras, the P35 provides a hardware depth engine to can capture professional-grade Depth of Field (Bokeh) effects in stunning photos. In addition, other P35 photographic enhancements include Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC), Instant AE and advanced noise reduction techniques for capturing in low light conditions.

Meanwhile, the front facing camera sports a super 20 MP with fast f/2.0 aperture. This selfie-snapper is embedded into an elegant water-drop that lines the upper lip of its all-screen display. Vivo adds its “AI Super Wide-Angle Camera” that expands your view to capture 120-degree wide pictures, plus AI Face Beauty to ‘enhance your facial features’ on the selfie camera.

Inspired by ‘the interaction of water and light with a sophisticated color gradient that flows across every inch of the back cover’, Vivo makes this stylish device available in an eye-catching Mineral Blue or Mystic Purple. Vivo Y17 launches with its Funtouch OS 9, a customized operating system based on Android 9.0.
