Ulefone Shows Ulefone Future CNC-cut Metal Unibody
As reported before, Ulefone’s 2016 flagship, the bezel-less Ulefone Future, will have a metal unibody with the frame and back cover being a whole. And Ulefone tells us how it is manufactured.
The metal body is actually got from a whole block of aluminum titanium alloy ingot by a computer-numerical-control (CNC) cutting machine. Compared with the casting technique, cutting can greatly preserve the fine texture of original metal and make the body look premium. Besides, CNC cutting machine can get a very thin piece of metal and therefore reduce the thickness and weight of the phone.
The plastic lines of the back cover is actually where the openings for signal are covered. Ulefone has adopted the nano injection molding process to make sure the plastic fully and evenly filled into the grooves of the metal slab.
So far we know Ulefone has adopted complicated techniques for both the display and back cover. And that’s why we have to wait a little while for it to come out.
