Last month, we reported that the company is planning to release a 5-inch version of the eMax, called as the UMi EMax Mini. The phone was going to be special for the company as it will be the first Snapdragon powered UMi smartphone in the market.
I am sure fans were happy to hear that an octa-core Snapdragon chip (most likely Snapdragon 615) powers the eMax Mini. But now, they have one more reason to be happy, as UMi eMax Mini will reportedly come with Lolipop 5.1.1 out of the box and later with CM12.1 available from ROOTJOY install. So, anyone who’s not a big fan of Chinese UI, would be glad to hear that CyanogenMod will power the device.
As you can see, the UMi eMax Mini is really shaping up to be a powerful mid-ranger. The phone will feature a Sharp made 5-inch IPS Neo FHD 1080p display. At the back, there will be a 13MP camera, while up front, expect an 8MP shooter. Another highlight of the device is its large battery, of 3050mAh, which means the phone will last longer than most competitors.
Since more and more details are coming up about the new UMi eMax Mini, we expect a launch soon. Stay tuned for more details.
