Umi Rome Coming Next Month With 2.5D AMOLED Display & MT6753 Octa-core
UMi has just announced a brand new device, UMi Rome which comes with pretty impressive specifications for a price tag of just $89.99. The company aims to revolutionize the budget segment with this device featuring high-end specifications.
The Rome features a brilliant 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display with 2.5D glass to give you the best viewing experience. The company went with AMOLED over IPS LCD as it does have a few advantages over the latter. For instance, AMOLED panels are usually considered more power efficient than the LCD screens. Also, its produces richer colors and very deep blacks as compared to the latter.
In the CPU department, the UMi Rome will feature the fast octa-core MT6753 chip clocked at 1.3GHz along with 3GB of RAM to make sure that the phone can take on any apps or games thrown at it. There will be 16GB of storage on board for all your movies, songs, pictures and other data. The company has also limited the Rome’s thickness to just 7.9mm.
At the back, the phone comes with a 13MP Sony IMX164 sensor with dual LED flash, while up front; you get a 2MP sensor along with an LED flash for selfie lovers. All these specifications will be powered by a 2500mAh battery, good enough for a day’s usage. Also, it comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS pre-installed.
