UMIDIGI A3 vs. Redmi 6A, Which is the better budget phone to pick?
Watch out! Entry-level beast UMIDIGI A3 is coming. UMIDIGI A3 series are made to shake the budget segment with the latest flagship design and functional features. By comparing with Redmi 6A, let’s see how UMIDIGI A3 is going to stand out in the entry-level phone market.
Design
Unlike Redmi 6A featuring a plastic back & frame, we make the entry-level beast UMIDIGI A3 shining like a flagship with Double-sided 2.5D Curved Glass & Metal Frame. UMIDIGI A3 is equipped with the Bottom Box Speaker providing exquisite music, rather than the back speaker of Redmi 6A, therefore when your A3 is laying on it’s back, the speaker won’t be covered and you can still hear the full sound. In addition, both UMIDIGI A3 and Redmi 6A apply Dual SIM + Dedicated Micro-SD Slot, so UMIDIGI A3 supports simultaneous use of two SIM cards and a microSD card for data storage(up to 256GB expandable storage).
Display
Both UMIDIGI A3 and Redmi 6A use an 18:9 Full-Screen display. Thanks to In-cell technology, UMIDIGI A3 adopts an advanced display screen with a narrower bezel, clearer images and text(compared with Redmi 6A with the out-cell display technology). Also, the In-cell technology reduces the thickness of the screen for UMIDIGI A3 which make more space for a larger battery, 3300mAh for UMIDIGI A3 while 3000mAh for Redmi 6A.
Performance
The UMIDIGI A3 is equipped with a quad-core MT6739 chipset while the Xiaomi Redmi 6a packs a 12nm process’s Helio A22. According to the official material Mediatek, the performance of Redmi 6a is a little better than the UMIDIGI A3, but no big differences when running heavy games.
Camera
Compared with Redmi 6A packing a single 13MP rear camera with F/2.2 aperture, UMIDIGI A3 use a 12MP+5MP Dual Camera setup, with F/2.0 the larger aperture, 1.25 μm large pixels, thus the UMIDIGI A3 can capture shots with richer colors and less noise.
Security
Support both Face Unlock and Fingerprint Scanner for double security, UMIDIGI A3 can better protect your privacy. However, Redmi 6A even doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor so it can support face unlock only.
Price
UMIDIGI A3 starts at an unbeatable price $79.99 with superior features while it needs around $100 for Redmi 6A. And from October 20, when UMIDIGI A3 open presale, you can even pre-order A3 with snap-up price $75.99!
