vivo iQOO Z1 featuring Dimensity 1000+
The first smartphone sporting the flagship-class MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ is the vivo iQOO Z1, and it’s now available in China with India following this summer.
The Z1 pairs the impressive Dimensity 5G-integrated chip with features such as a 6.7-inch Full HD+ display with an ultra-fast, 144Hz refresh-rate that it’s ideal for gaming. The display incorporates vivo’s adaptive refresh rate and energy saving technologies.
In addition to its AV1 streaming readiness thanks to Dimensity’s inbuilt hardware decoder, vivo hasn’t neglected the audio part of the premium AV experience, with a set of stereo speakers and dual power amplifiers, plus unique enhancements to make sound effects more immersive in media and games.
The Dimensity 1000+ provides flagship-grade performance from its mix of octa-core CPU that includes four, premium Arm Cortex-A77 CPUs up to 2.6GHz, 9-core GPU and 6-core APU 3.0 AI processor. For connectivity, the Dimensity 1000+ provides a comprehensive 5G feature-set that includes 5G+5G dual SIM with VoNR, wide band coverage (n1/n3/n41/n77/n78/n79) and support for both non-standalone and standalone 5G networks. Local wireless connectivity is covered by Bluetooth 5 and ultra-fast 1Gbps Wi-Fi 6, along with adaptive network switching technologies to ensure the fastest and most reliable connection available is preferred.
Inside a generous 4,500mAh battery gets vivo’s 44W Super Flash Charging, via USB-C port, that can boost it up to 50% in just 23 minutes and 100% in under an hour. vivo even adds its new VEG energy protection technology to effectively reduce energy consumption, further improving battery life.
Photography and video capture is backed by a bevvy of AI-camera tricks. At the back a triple camera setup mixes a 48MP main sensor with 112-degree wide angle and macro lens for close-ups down to 4cm, while on the front a 16MP selfie camera with fast aperture can capture bright photos even in low light.
The Z1 is available in Galaxy Silver or Space Blue with 6GB of LPDDR4X and up to 256GB storage, and features the iQOO UI with vivo’s Jovi AI voice assistant, built atop of Android 10.
