VIVO Y81i, Powered by MediaTek Helio A22
The VIVO Y81i has been recently announced in Malaysia. Available in a choice of red or black, this 6.22-inch all-screen smartphone is the first VIVO to feature the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset.
The large display features a small notch with 5MP front-facing camera, and offers VIVO’s Face Access – unlock the device with facial recognition – and AI Face Beauty enhancements too. At the back there’s a single 13MP camera that’s paired with an advanced image processing algorithm.
Inside, in addition to the 2GHz quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 chipset it has 2GB of memory and 16GB of storage, plus a large 3,260mAh battery. VIVO adds its own Funtouch OS 4.0 enhancements to Android 8.1.
VIVO is tailoring the Y81i to meet certain country preferences by including a dedicated Motorbike Mode that will enable you “to handle incoming calls in a safer way while driving”. When active it will automatically hang up and send a text message as a reply, however it can also make certain phone numbers bypass the restrictions so you don’t miss important calls.
