Wiko View3 and View3 Pro feature MediaTek Helio power
French brand, Wiko, presented two new smartphones at MWC 2019 – the View3 and View3 Pro. Both are MediaTek Helio-powered, the former by the highly capable P22 and the Pro by the more powerful P60.
The Wiko View3, with P22-inside, is a 6.2-inch device with HD+ resolution display. At the back its three camera mix gives 12MP (Sony IMX sensor with PDAF), plus 13MP 120º wide-angle and 2MP used for depth sensing to give great portrait shots with accurate depth of field. At the front, an 8MP selfie camera offers AI-enhanced facial unlocking for security and convenience.
The MediaTek Helio P22 offers a powerful mix of octa-core Arm Cortex-A53 processors that operate up to a speedy 2GHz, plus PowerVR GE8320 graphics and a highly efficient photography engine. The SoC is built using TSMC’s tiny 12nm FinFET process for incredible performance efficiency.
The View3 comes with a beautiful glass back panel available in three cool colors: Night Blue, Blush Gold and Electro Bleen.
Meanwhile, the Wiko View3 Pro offers an upgraded MediaTek Helio P60 inside, with 4-6GB of memory and either 64-128GB of storage. The P60 provides a powerful octa-core CPU featuring a mix of Arm Cortex-A73/A53 processors, triple-core Arm Mali G72 graphics, and an efficient multi-threading, dual-core AI processing unit (APU) all built-in.
The 6.3-inch device gets a sharper FullHD+ display with tall 19:9 aspect ratio and 90% full-frontal coverage. The 16MP selfie camera supports AI-enhanced facial unlocking, while at the back there’s still a triple camera setup of standard, wide and depth cameras. The View3 Pro also adds NFC, USB-C, and houses the same 4,000mAh battery as the non-Pro to keep things going all day.
Both smartphones launch using the latest Android 9 OS.
