Since the start of 2020, the whole world has been inundated with news about the coronavirus, with numerous countries applying strict lockdown protocols to reduce the spread of the deadly virus.

Coronavirus

As lockdown measures seemed to have slowed the increase in new cases worldwide, we are anticipating more cities around the world to slowly allow people to return to work.
We at EZCast Pro want to share with you a few tips about how to stay safe at work, as we also get ready for a different kind of working environment.

1. Wear a face mask in crowded areas
The virus primarily spreads between people through close contact and via small droplets produced by coughing, sneezing, and talking. Therefore, to keep everyone in the office safe, we recommend everyone to wear face masks when working near your colleagues, and especially important if you are showing signs of cough and sneeze.

2. Wash your hands with soap or sanitizer frequently
It is possible to become infected with the coronavirus by touching contaminated surfaces and then touching your face. So, apart from reminding yourself to refrain from touching your face, eyes, nose, mouth, and chin, we recommend washing your hands thoroughly and frequently. This way, you limit the possibility of your face coming to contact with the virus.

3. Clean and disinfect your desks daily
It is as important as ever to keep your personal spaces clean as a whistle, so your body does not come in contact with the virus. Try to clean your desk and work areas with alcohol at least once a day to keep yourself safe.

4. Maintain social distancing protocols at all times
Try to maintain a distance of at least 1.5 meters with your coworkers at all times to protect each other from possible contaminated small droplets in the air. In situations where social distancing is difficult to enforce, such as meetings, wear your face masks to protect all the meeting attendees.

5. Refrain from handshakes and hugs
The threat of coronavirus has brought about a new set of social etiquette. This is a time when handshaking and hugs in social settings are discouraged, to prevent the spread of disease. Foot shakes and elbow bumps are interesting alternatives to handshakes when you greet with acquaintances in these trying times.

We hope you might give these work safety tips a try as we slowly go back to work and do our best to gradually return our workplace to normal.
